My Primary Roles: Founding IC researcher on Reddit's UX team, lead Growth UXR
I've spent the last ~6 years helping lay down the foundations and build out the UX Research function during a time of significant growth at Reddit. I joined as the founding IC researcher on the UX team, and led foundational research to define core user needs and behaviors. Some areas of focus included Search, Moderator Experiences, NPS and JTBD, Platform Navigation, Image Galleries and Short Form Videos (which were new to the platform at the time!), Reddit Premium, and Ads.
As the team grew, I transitioned to leading UX research across Reddit's Growth org and set up foundational research programs across areas such as SEO, Reddit AI, Onboarding, Logged-out Experiences, Conversion, Retention, Social Sharing, Emails & Notifications, and the Developer/API program. This work has been key to informing company-wide strategy and has shaped how millions of users discover, join, and return to Reddit. Some of this research is reflected in Reddit's S-1 filing - "Our Strategy for Growing Users and Engagement").
